Our Story
After becoming accidental landlords in 2018, Paul, along with his wife Annie, quickly recognised the benefits of property as an investment vehicle.
Over the next few years, they built a sizeable portfolio, buying, refurbishing and renting out properties in the North West alongside their full-time jobs whilst earning a steady return on their investments.
After working with a number of builders on their projects, they came across Steve who completed a full BTL renovation for them. They were so impressed with his work ethic, reliability and great build finish that Steve quickly became their go-to builder for future projects. They decided to join forces, and the development arm of Simply Property Investing was born.
Meet the Team
Paul Pickering
Paul’s early love of property led him to undertake an Architecture degree at Cardiff University.
Post university his adventurous side led him into the Army and Commando forces. As a Royal Engineer he has developed his project management and leadership skills over the last 12 years, promoting to the rank of Major.
He has built a successful property portfolio which includes BTL’s, professional HMO’s and social housing HMO’s alongside a busy and demanding job. As well as spending quality time with his growing family, Paul enjoys orienteering, mountain biking and even ski mountaineering.
Having left the military in 2024 and moved full-time into the world of property, Paul heads up the commercial aspects of Simply Property Investing.
Steve, Liverpool born and bred, has in the last few years become the go-to option for property investors looking for well-priced, quality refurbs in the North-West.
A builder by trade, his experience ranges from client home renovations, to BTL’s, HMO’s and Social housing. Steve’s on-site project management skills speak for themselves, as well-known property investors continue to rely on him for turn-key renovations.
Now, the inhouse development arm of Simply Property Investing, Steve continues to deliver high quality projects. If he’s not on site or spending time with the family, he can usually be found in the gym, playing golf or in the stands at Anfield!
